Freshwater ecologist Dr. Emma Rosi will lead a tour of the Cary Institute's artificial stream facility and a walk to a nearby sampling site.

The artificial stream facility – of which there are only a few in the world – has enabled Rosi's groundbreaking research on how pharmaceuticals and personal care products influence aquatic life.

Director of the Baltimore Ecosystem Study, Rosi explores the role that failing wastewater infrastructure plays in polluting streams and creating antibiotic-resistant superbugs.
