Join Cary Institute Wildlife Biologist Mike Fargione for a tree identification workshop and walk.
Wise forest stewardship requires that landowners familiarize themselves with the woody plants found on their property. Participants will learn to recognize native and invasive trees and shrubs by their shape, bark patterns, twigs, fruits, and seeds. They will also gain experience using identification keys.
There will be an indoor workshop followed by a walk. Wear boots and appropriate clothing and bring a hand lens or magnifying glass if you have one.
