Aerial of Cary's Campus

Our Campus

A field site for ecological studies. An outdoor classroom. Home to a weather station. A destination for hiking and taking in public programs. Our 2,000-acre campus is all of these things and more.

The Cary Institute’s campus is situated on 2,000 acres in New York’s Hudson Valley. The site is home to a research complex, analytical laboratories, an environmental monitoring station, classrooms, an education department, and an auditorium. The grounds are a laboratory for field research, with extensive studies on the ecology of Lyme disease.

We welcome visitors, and feature several public attractions, detailed below. Guest are also invited to use our library during business hours (M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
