Data Basics: TUVA Tutorial

This workshop is geared toward educators or parents of 4th-8th grade students participating in the Hudson Data Jam Competition, but anyone interested in introducing basic data analysis skills to their students is welcome.

Cary Institute Educators Dr. Alan Berkowitz and Ashley Alred will guide participants through a series of basic data exploration and analysis activities using TUVA, an interactive tool used to make sense of data. Participants will learn basic TUVA functions and how to guide students in using this tool for their Data Jam projects.

Thank you to our generous Data Jam supporters: Price Chopper's Golub Foundation, Adams Fairacre Farms, Central Hudson, LaBella, and M&T Bank.
