Film screening and discussion

Pharmaceutical pollution is a growing problem in our nation's freshwaters. In this special Earth Day event, preview a PBS segment on the topic featuring Cary aquatic ecologist Emma Rosi.

Emma will then discuss how pharmaceutical pollution is passed up the food web, why micro-plastics complicate the issue, the state of pharmaceutical pollution in the Hudson River, and how citizens can make a difference.
