On Saturday, October 1 at 10am ET, join Cary Institute Wildlife Biologist Mike Fargione on an autumn hike across Cary Institute's fields, forests, and streams to explore how plants and animals adapt to changing seasons. For humans, adapting to changing seasons can be as simple as switching our wardrobe but local flora and fauna have evolved many strategies to help them transition from the bounty of summer to the trials of our northern winter.
The walk will begin at the Cary East (Gifford House) parking area in Millbrook, N.Y. Participants are encouraged to wear long pants and hiking boots, and bring drinking water. Reservations required.
