snow leopard project

Evolutionary biologist Alex Dehgan, founder and CEO of Conservation X Labs, and former chief scientist at USAID. Dehgan will discuss his new book The Snow Leopard Project.

In 2006, Dehgan traveled to Kabul to build the Wildlife Conservation Society's Afghanistan Program – an effort aimed at protecting the country's unique ecosystems, which had been decimated by decades of war.

Learn how Dehgan campaigned to stop endangered snow leopard poaching and establish Afghanistan's first national park, Band-e Amir. The event will be held in the Cary Institute auditorium.

Registration for general admission is required. Admission is first-come first-served, based on venue capacity. We suggest arriving by 6:30pm.

Books will be available for purchase from Merritt Bookstore.
