Rebecca grew up in Maryland and was drawn to environmental sciences through biking along the local creek and visiting wetlands on the Chesapeake Bay. She received a BA in Environmental Studies from Yale where she concentrated in Environmental Justice. Rebecca is interested in community science approaches to ecological and environmental research and increasing access to nature and nature-based education. She enjoys working with kids of all ages and being outside. She is a big fan of bogs and frogs (spring peepers, specifically). In addition to spending time in nature, Rebecca loves to cook, do crossword puzzles, watch women's soccer, and make crafts.
