Beth Comstock is a writer, advisor, and nature enthusiast. After graduating from William & Mary with a BA in biology, she first worked as a journalist. Comstock then went on to build a highly successful career as a marketing and innovation leader in media and technology, for companies including GE, NBC, CBS, and Turner Broadcasting. While president of integrated media at NBCUniversal, she oversaw the early development of Hulu. During her nearly 30 years with General Electric, Beth held a variety of leadership positions, including chief marketing officer and vice chair of innovation. She initiated the company’s transformation in digital and clean energy, developed new businesses, and grew the value of the GE brand.
She was most recently vice chair of the company before stepping away in 2017 to turn her focus to writing and advising. Her book on leadership, Imagine It Forward: Courage, Creativity and the Power of Change, was published in 2018. She is a former trustee of The National Geographic Society and was a director of several public companies.
