Cary Institute Trustee since 2025

Nichola Tucker Gray is the co-founder and CEO of Kate McLeod, a growing beauty and personal care brand known for its innovative formulations and sustainable packaging design. Prior to founding her business, Nichola was a management consultant at Booz and Company, where she specialized in growth strategies and go-to-market models for clients in the media, entertainment, and technology industries. Nichola started her career in education, first as a teacher with Teach for America in The Bronx and then leading program administration at the Council for Economic Education.

A native New Yorker, Nichola attended K-12 at The Brearley School, where she developed an early appreciation for environmental science. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2008 and received her MBA from Columbia Business School in 2014. Nichola’s interest in environmental science and ecology deepened through exposure to Cary’s brilliant scientists when she was living in Stanfordville, NY during the pandemic. She is honored to be joining the Board—and thrilled to be of service to such an incredible organization.
