An avid conservationist, hunter, and angler, Simon Roosevelt is the founder of the Conservation Roundtable, co-founder of American Conservation Projects, and co-founder of Friends of Elkhorn Ranch. His activities are focused primarily on wildlife and lands policy, and conservation politics.

Roosevelt is a member of the President’s Council of Advisors for Scenic Hudson, having previously served as a member of the organization’s board as well as chairman of the board of The Scenic Hudson Land Trust, which has conserved nearly 40,000 acres in the Hudson Valley of New York. He is a member and Vice President for Conservation Policy of the Boone and Crockett Club, an honorary director of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, having previously served as its chairman, a member of the Camp-Fire Club of America, and a trustee of the Theodore Roosevelt Association. He is a former commissioner of the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, New York City Commission.

Simon is a principal of Olimpia Fund Management, Ltd., a multi-family investment group. He was previously general counsel for KCM LLC, an investment management fund; and an attorney with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
