Soo Kim is managing partner and chief investment officer of Standard General, a New York-based investment adviser. He has more than 25 years of experience working in distressed and special situations investing. Kim is chairman of the Board of Directors of Bally’s Corporation and a director of Intralot SA. He was inducted into the GAMCO Investment Management Hall of Fame in 2016 and won American Executive of the Year honors at the Global Gaming Awards in 2021.
Kim holds an AB from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Among his many contributions to charitable causes and organizations are his service on the Board of Directors of both Pursuit and the Wethersfield Foundation, and as former president of the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association.
