Dr. Weathers leads a GLEON project team that is developing a mobile application for research scientists and citizen scientists to record lake and water quality data while working in the field. The Lake Observer app is GLEON's commitment to the White House Climate Data Initiative.
As part of this US-led initiative, GLEON is also partnering with Esri and the USGS to create a crowd-sourcing platform that will facilitate the collection and sharing of lake-related information across the globe.
